Pure devient partenaire d'Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert

Pure become a partner of Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert

As the Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert falls in love with bulk, it was only natural for Pure to become a major partner for the 2020 edition. Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert is certainly THE event of the year for health in the province of Quebec. This place is full of inspiring exhibitors who encourage visitors to adopt good consumption habits, both for us and for our planet. The event takes place over the course of 3 weekends again this year, in Montreal, Quebec and Sherbrooke.   The Expo has a festive and exciting atmosphere. It's a great way to meet people, but above all, to discover plenty of new things. It is also a direct access to the public who come and share with us what they like about our products. Your smiles and pictures you share on social media always warm our hearts (and you'll see that in person, we're even nicer!).   Our booth is going to be crazy! We can't wait to reveal it - you'll have no choice but to come see us. And we've got something to be proud of: we've given a second life to the former booth of eco-friendly company Design DB.  Catherine, Sales Representative "It's a time for me to encourage and discover new entrepreneurs in Quebec and to make local and accessible purchases".                    Jenyfer, Director of Communications"The Expo is THE weekend where I'm 100% running on Gutsy in bulk and stocked up on Goutsa sausages. It means seeing the beautiful Flavie and having a good time with our team, and especially our #jesuispure community"   Here’s your check-list to come and visit the Expo in an eco-friendly way:1- Check your empty Pure bottles at home before you leave: you can fill them on the spot!2- Bring your water bottle and your reusable bag (backpack accepted).3- Use public transportation or carpool with your friends.4- Refuse samples that you will not use.5- Take pictures of your favourite booths instead of flyers or business cards.6- But above all, come and visit the most beautiful booth at the Expo: ours! New products will be waiting for you!

Hommage à nos grand-mères… qui étaient écolos bien avant nous!

Tribute to our grandmothers... who went green long before us!

Our grandmothers: these experienced women who raised 4, 5, 6, 7 children. These queens of the kitchen. These housewives who spent their lives feeding several mouths, several times a day. Keeping the house always clean and making sure that no one was ever short of anything. Our grandmothers are all different in their own way, but we certainly all have a little something to learn from them - even when it comes to eco-friendly living! Because yes, our grandmothers were ecological long before we were born! Even though it was probably for economic reasons, the actions were there anyway. Who said ecological and economic don't go hand in hand?So here are a few little things that our grandmothers did (and still do!) that we should learn from (and pass on to our grandchildren).      Tribute to Gisèle, a grandmother who deserves to be applauded: They reuse EVERYTHING. For them, everything can be reused. A store-bought plastic bowl, gift wrap, a grocery bag, a Mason jar... Nothing deserves to go to the garbage or recycling before it's totally worn out. They eat local year-round. Yes, they do! Even living in Quebec, our grandmothers manage to eat local vegetables all year round! Their trick? They grow their own garden and, when the cold season approaches, they can their crops - and it lasts until the next summer! They give objects a second life. For our grandmothers, clothes can be (almost!) eternal. An old T-shirt becomes a rag. An old bedcover turns into oven mitts and table mats. Pants with holes in them become grocery bags. They even use old clothes that they cut into strips, stretch to the max and join together to knit slippers or carpets! Nothing is lost, everything is transformed. They make their own household products.A little baking soda here, a little vinegar there, and that's it! They don't need any more to clean the house. And if they do, they use Pure products that they buy in bulk at their local grocery store!

Une St-Valentin Pure

Valentine's day by Pure

Ashley and Bryan, of their own , asked us what they could do for Valentine's Day without creating waste. We love these kids so much. It’s beautiful to see the youth involved in the movement to reduce and act. For us, there is nothing better than a personalized gift, so we suggested them to cook.       We picked a recipe from the blog Jojo dans le frigo to make our Valentine's Day cake. We made a few changes to it, like changing the sugar by maple syrup, but here is the full recipe. By the way, Joanie Boisvert has a very inspiring Instagram account to prepare good snacks.     Eco-friendly gift   If you want to buy a gift, our body care products are perfect for  your valentine. Our products are made from the best ingredients to provide soft and hydrated skin. Treat yourself  like at the spa at home, it's possible with Pure! In 2020, for gifts, we recommend you to make local and responsible choices.      Happy Valentine's day!

Je suis pure et transparent

"Je suis pure' and transparent

Do you know that in Canada and the United States, manufacturers and distributors of cleaning products are not required to display the ingredients used in their product if the ingredients are not considered hazardous. There is also no guideline for displaying ingredients. We can name the ingredients we want, the way we want.At Pure © by Total Fabrication, we are transparent, like our containers. We display the full list of all our ingredients directly on our labels, as we are proud of the effectiveness of our products and the ingredients we use to fabricate them. We list them using the INCI (International nomenclature for cosmetic ingredients) nomenclature. We explain what they do on our website, to help you understand. We invite you to write to us, our team will be happy to help you better understand and make brighter choices.

La féérie de Noël à Saint-Alex!

St-Alex Christmas spirit

Christmas is here! It's all about connecting with our inner child and taking advantage of this special time. The magic of the holidays is a real fairytale and it's easy to become a kid again. The colourful lights make us smile, the special coffees make us chit-chat and the fireplace lets us relax. We love this holiday because of the Christmas advent calendars and auntie Patsy's cake.     Around friends and family, we spend all of our nights to create new memories and to play our favourite games. Christmas is reuniting, and it is a wonderful time of the year!  Since December 1st, we can hear Christmas songs through the loudspeakers of Saint-Alexandre-de-Kamouraska, a tradition for more than 60 years. This is all thanks to the precious help of volunteers each year. Until January 3rd, 10am to 8pm, you may listen to 98.5 FM CNOL during their local shopping hours. In St-Alex, we love to celebrate! Come visit us at La shop écolo, located at 511 route 289.     Multisurface temps des fêtes With oNature, we made the Multisurface holiday scent. This product has a traditional and festive aroma of cranberries, pine and a hint of cinnamon for a healthy and clean home.

Vendredi fou: on ne virera pas fou!

Black friday don't get too crazy

For years, it's madness when the Black Friday arrives, these discounts appear a week or two before the beginning of December. But that has not always been like that. We all have the image of those people who run when the doors open at Macy's in New York, mainly screaming people to get the special product before it's gone on the shelf. This reality has changed again with the arrival of the internet; this crazy race to overconsumption is even more scary today because the ability to order now everything you want in a single click has exponential negative effects for our planet.  We live in a society that is influenced by profit, a world that continually creates new needs. For some this may be synonymous with decay. The sales of Black Friday will not help the cause again this year: the chain is like that, we consume more, we produce more and we pollute more. Many people think that the economy and the environment must go hand in hand, but what do you want us to do not go there, "money is still leading the world" as your father would say.   Transition and balance If we talk about the positive, a lot has changed in recent years. We are talking more and more about environmental issues in the media and it is a less taboo subject in our communities. In addition, a historic event occurred on November 4, 2016; in fact, 195 countries signed the Paris Agreement, the first major environmental treaty on an international scale. It is clear that much work remains to be done to change attitudes towards the environment, but we can still see positive steps in the right direction. The big powers such as the United States, which has notably emerged from this treaty after the election of Donald Trump, and China, the most polluting country in the world, will have to act as a leader. We will have to be patient to see more results coming from the political field, but what makes us confident in the future is to see a new commitment of many spheres of the population towards the stake of this new century which concerns us all. We will get there with a lot of patience and willpower.    Today's engaged population will be stronger tomorrow as future generations become more sophisticated consumers. It is proven that it takes us 21 days to change a habit, so with a little will and consistency we can succeed. Future generations have environmental consciousness and it is mainly because of them that things will change but no one can no longer stand idly by, each of us must do his part.  At Pure we strive to create more jobs, more revenue, but also to produce and operate more responsibly. Our sustainable concept is to counter the plague of plastic. Our efforts are mainly to market our high-performance products and make bulk more accessible. For the last ten years we have been proud to say that we care about the environment with our bulk filling stations and activists (sales points), which are now over 500 across the country. All this because we believe in the transition to a greener world through a better balance between the economy and the environment.         Black Friday                                                                                                   It's also your right to say no to Black Friday as the first of the 5Rs teaches it so well (refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle and compost). But if you have things to buy, we encourage you this Friday to buy local and, above all, to buy what you really need.                                                                                                                                                                                Pure will be part of it, for the first time we decided to participate and offer a promotion under the black friday. As Andréanne Marquis did not hide his love for the Multisurface 10L format, we offer you $ 5 off to properly equip you for bulk at home (and / or business).  Other promotions are ongoing on the purebio.net, such as 20% off all body care 500ml and 1L format including Christmas sets and mystery oNature linen water with the purchase of $ 50 and more. We have thought of you by preparing all these Black Friday promotions and we wish you all happy holidays in advance.

La loi sur l’étiquetage établie par Santé Canada

Health Canada labelling legislation

Health Canada labelling legislation requires any reseller of household products to display containers at all times: The name of the productThe name of the manufacturerThe instructions for useThe warning Our products are generally more concentrated than the products of other brands so the instruction of the product is very important to save. The warning is also very important. Imagine if a child drinks the products that comes from an unidentified mason jar. All bottles of Pure products are transparent to facilitate the refill. In addition, each product can not go in some type of plastic. Aluminium must absolutely be refused because it reacts with the products. Carton will break down over time with household product having a low or high indoors ph. Our bottles and labels are have been specifically chosen to last as long as possible. As a manufacturer, we pay more for our components so we can reuse them as long as possible. Our website is unique and allows the store and consumers to have all thenecessary information to promote the products (selling points, ingredients, instructions for use, warning, blog, eco-friendly fundraising, commercial program company, photos and more) If you have more question, do not hesitate to reach us. info@totalfabrication.ca. It is important to us to enlighten our #jesuispure community.

Washing routine for cloths diapers according to Omaïki community

We are very happy to have been working closely with the Omaïki gang for the last few months. The girls tested and approved our new laundry for washable diapers and even gave us a 101 course for the best wash routine for washable diapers. Here are the steps to follow:1- Wash the cloths diapers every 3 days. You can do it in cold water or hot water, at the discretion of mom or dad.Cold water = ecological and avoids staining It is recommended to alternate also with hot water washes to wash deeper.Hot water = better cleaning and rinsing power.2- Add laundry detergent for cloth diapers to your load and follow the directions for use.HE front washer: 15 ml laundry detergent for washable diapersConventional washer: 30 ml laundry detergent for washable diapers Continue the routine with an extra rinse with warm or hot water. 3- Dry the cloth diapers at least twice a month in the dryer. This helps to tighten the fibers of the fabric and avoids the risk of leaks. For other times, enjoy the beautiful weather to dry in the open air. The sun is a powerful stain remover. You can also defeat stains with Pure Stain Remover or Omaïki by Pure Stripping powder and Stain Remover Powder. Voilà ! A simple and effective routine. This technique can also be applied for washable pads.Thank you Omaïki!

Les 21 jours, dans ma vie de tous les jours

21 days, in my everyday life

I have started being vegetarian and interested in green and natural alternatives in 2014. It really triggered my "green process." Today, in 2019, I'm a lot more vegan than veggie, I make my own household products, I refuse many things, for years I do not put makeup, I opt as much as possible for local and natural. I always take versatile ingredients too, which can be used for both body and hair for example. Or as vinegar, which can serve as a cleaning product in the kitchen but also as a softener in the washer. It's so economical! I wonder a lot about my choices and the impact of each.   I think it's really the basis for starting a "change." Ask yourself. Search. Interest. Because we spend more than half the time in our apartment or our house. Why water it with chemicals products? We sleep there, we eat there, we live there squarely. Same thing about what we apply to our body. Our skin absorbs everything, like a sponge. For me, it has been a long process. (Really nice anyway!) We have more and more alternatives and it's so exciting to see the zero waste movement grow more and more. A small change at a time, it is enough to find the "solutions" that suit you. Once you have found, your body, your mind and your wallet will say thank you!
