It’s time to take the time
We've all been in the same situation for the past few weeks: confined to the house, with the weekly grocery shopping mission as our only outing. No one knows how long it's going to last, and it's okay to feel confused and anxious. But why not make this uncertain and maybe dark period for some, sunnier, softer, more beautiful...?Teleworking or not, alone or with the children, everything around us is in slow motion. At this time more than ever before, it is time to take time. It is time to rediscover ourselves, to live slowly and, above all, to feel good about living slowly. Because anyways, that's all we have to do!
Learn moreI can finally breathe!
That’s what our beautiful planet has been telling us for the past few weeks.Experts agree: the global crisis of COVID-19 is indeed having more than positive effects on the environment. China and Italy are good examples&mdashand North America seems to be following a similar trend. Pollution has decreased significantly: fewer greenhouse gases, better air quality…It almost looks like our dream of a greener planet is coming true! This is largely due to the decrease in industrial activities and the drop in traffic (road and especially air traffic), among other things. There is a positive side to this confinement. This whole “adventure” is proving to us that we’re able to make changes to improve our planet&mdashand quickly. In just a few weeks, Canadians have shown that they can (almost!) buy anything local. #madeincanada. And this is really beautiful. What we hope is that these positive effects are not temporary. Let them last when this whole crisis is (finally!) behind us. May we keep our good habits of consuming locally, travelling when necessary, taking advantage of what our beautiful province has to offer! We are convinced that our planet (and its people too!) will feel much better. Because even though April is Pure Earth Month, at Pure, it’s Earth Month all year round. We’ve made it our priority for many years now, and we try very hard to transmit this desire to as many people as possible. And anyway, it’s now so simple to do bulk a few steps away from home (find your nearest bulk station here)! Doing bulk locally means less transportation, less waste and of course, less plastic. But you already know that!

Speakers : Vanessa Beaulieu graphic designer, Isabelle Ouellet graphic designer , Anthony Poitras general managerl et Gabriel St-Pierre chemist. In an effort to always offer the best products, we are pleased to announce that our scientific team has reformulated our Pure body products by adding the best innovations in the industry, while maintaining the same aromas and experience our customers have been loving since our very beginning. The transformation process, which lasted several months, involved our chemist, our laboratory technicians, an external green chemistry laboratory, our bulk store partners and several consumers. The expertise and involvement of the #jesuispure community is very dear to us and we thank all those who contributed to this great advancement.A few years ago, the Pure line was known for the colour of its soaps. Beautiful shelves filled with happiness and rainbows. Today, we stand out for the gentleness and effectiveness of our products, but especially because they are offered in bulk locally. We have taken this opportunity to offer you a new image. Under the magical eye of our creative team, the Pure team has designed new dresses for its bottles, keeping the authenticity of the brand at the forefront. As our Pure community loves our colors, we carefully selected the ones that would make up our new rainbow. The labels become even more resistant to be reused in bulk for as long as possible. And finally, we improved the visuals to enhance the basis of our brand identity: BulkOur planetFamilyLocal purchase Also, our deadline for this re-branding project was actually the inventory of our remaining old labels. So, no labels were wasted, and the few remaining ones will be used for ecological financing campaigns. We now offer a 100% essential oil aroma: Tangerine! This new all-natural aroma will replace that of Mango. Your nose will be charmed by the fresh breeze of Tangerine (if you like the aroma of citrus fruits of course). You will be able to purchase our new body line, in bottle + in bulk online and in a store soon near you.
Learn moreThe Plan B
Expo Manger Santé et Vivre VertLaunching of the new Pure imageMy trip to Cancun (don’t throw rocks at me, I buy CO2 offsetting when I travel!)On March 12th, everything changed on my schedule: Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert is cancelled, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s when we have to find a plan B. Quickly. The whole team is in reaction mode with a positive approach. I’m an expert in dealing with turnarounds, but I hate having to go back to plan Bs. #thereisnoplanetb On March 23rd, I was supposed to go to sleep under the sun for a week with my favorite travel agent and friend. After a crazy week, it was inconceivable for my brain and heart to leave for a whole week during this crisis (my trip is cancelled and we are producing an essential need: soap). But at this date, I am tired. The last few months have been really intense. But now, I have to take care of myself before taking care of the planet. Shout out to my boss/friend Anthony who, for my sake, encouraged me to go and rest. It wasn’t what I first wanted, but I listened to him, because I know he really wants me to. There should be more people like “Tony” in this world. Our team is managing a tremendous increase in all departments. In just a few months, our production at Pure has increased by 220%. Hats off to our team members who perform with a smile and keep up with the pace despite the pressure. Pure is one big family, and we’re all here for each other. In addition to managing growth, the family has been affected by the disease. We’ve supported our team. Without any hesitation, we worked hard. I am so proud and grateful for this beautiful gang that is the change our world needs. So, two weeks agao, as planned, I left on vacation&mdashbut for another destination: home (believe me Aglaée, we’re not done travelling yet!). Like everyone else, I started cleaning all the rooms in my house and bringing them back to life. I drew rainbows in my windows and even turned on my Christmas lights for my young neighbours (and for me). I took some time to support (with my credit card) #madeinquebec companies in my own way and to think of my loved ones. I looked at my memories (I have a real archive center!) and shared them with my friends. I got a lot of sleep and I got a little bit off from my daily work-work-work schedule. Certainly the best break I could afford. I took a step back from one of our biggest projects and realized that the word “rainbow” was already common at Pure and has been for several months. The team has been working for over a year on a new formula, a new image, and we call our bottles our “rainbow”. credit : @isaouellet Even if the expected launch won’t happen, and since the planet has sent us all to our rooms to think about it, I believe that our new bottles are the rainbow that people want in their kitchen and bathroom. A healthy home with products made in Quebec. And since we’re now out of all Stay tuned, because the Pure family will soon have a colourful surprise for you on our online store and in your favourite local stores. Thanks to our entire community for supporting us and believing in our values. #jesuispure PS: Stay home, wash your hands and try to love plan B’s. @jenyferhodgson
Learn morePure become a partner of Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert
As the Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert falls in love with bulk, it was only natural for Pure to become a major partner for the 2020 edition. Learn moreTribute to our grandmothers... who went green long before us!
Our grandmothers: these experienced women who raised 4, 5, 6, 7 children. These queens of the kitchen. These housewives who spent their lives feeding several mouths, several times a day. Keeping the house always clean and making sure that no one was ever short of anything. Our grandmothers are all different in their own way, but we certainly all have a little something to learn from them - even when it comes to eco-friendly living! Because yes, our grandmothers were ecological long before we were born! Even though it was probably for economic reasons, the actions were there anyway. Who said ecological and economic don't go hand in hand?So here are a few little things that our grandmothers did (and still do!) that we should learn from (and pass on to our grandchildren). Tribute to Gisèle, a grandmother who deserves to be applauded: They reuse EVERYTHING. For them, everything can be reused. A store-bought plastic bowl, gift wrap, a grocery bag, a Mason jar... Nothing deserves to go to the garbage or recycling before it's totally worn out. They eat local year-round. Yes, they do! Even living in Quebec, our grandmothers manage to eat local vegetables all year round! Their trick? They grow their own garden and, when the cold season approaches, they can their crops - and it lasts until the next summer! They give objects a second life. For our grandmothers, clothes can be (almost!) eternal. An old T-shirt becomes a rag. An old bedcover turns into oven mitts and table mats. Pants with holes in them become grocery bags. They even use old clothes that they cut into strips, stretch to the max and join together to knit slippers or carpets! Nothing is lost, everything is transformed. They make their own household products.A little baking soda here, a little vinegar there, and that's it! They don't need any more to clean the house. And if they do, they use Pure products that they buy in bulk at their local grocery store!

Learn moreValentine's day by Pure
Ashley and Bryan, of their own , asked us what they could do for Valentine's Day without creating waste. We love these kids so much. It’s beautiful to see the youth involved in the movement to reduce and act. For us, there is nothing better than a personalized gift, so we suggested them to cook. We picked a recipe from the blog Jojo dans le frigo to make our Valentine's Day cake. We made a few changes to it, like changing the sugar by maple syrup, but here is the full recipe. By the way, Joanie Boisvert has a very inspiring Instagram account to prepare good snacks. Eco-friendly gift If you want to buy a gift, our body care products are perfect for your valentine. Our products are made from the best ingredients to provide soft and hydrated skin. Treat yourself like at the spa at home, it's possible with Pure! In 2020, for gifts, we recommend you to make local and responsible choices. Happy Valentine's day!
Learn more"Je suis pure' and transparent
Do you know that in Canada and the United States, manufacturers and distributors of cleaning products are not required to display the ingredients used in their product if the ingredients are not considered hazardous. There is also no guideline for displaying ingredients. We can name the ingredients we want, the way we want.At Pure © by Total Fabrication, we are transparent, like our containers. We display the full list of all our ingredients directly on our labels, as we are proud of the effectiveness of our products and the ingredients we use to fabricate them. We list them using the INCI (International nomenclature for cosmetic ingredients) nomenclature. We explain what they do on our website, to help you understand. We invite you to write to us, our team will be happy to help you better understand and make brighter choices.
Learn moreSt-Alex Christmas spirit
Christmas is here! It's all about connecting with our inner child and taking advantage of this special time. The magic of the holidays is a real fairytale and it's easy to become a kid again. The colourful lights make us smile, the special coffees make us chit-chat and the fireplace lets us relax. We love this holiday because of the Christmas advent calendars and auntie Patsy's cake. Around friends and family, we spend all of our nights to create new memories and to play our favourite games. Christmas is reuniting, and it is a wonderful time of the year! Since December 1st, we can hear Christmas songs through the loudspeakers of Saint-Alexandre-de-Kamouraska, a tradition for more than 60 years. This is all thanks to the precious help of volunteers each year. Until January 3rd, 10am to 8pm, you may listen to 98.5 FM CNOL during their local shopping hours. In St-Alex, we love to celebrate! Come visit us at La shop écolo, located at 511 route 289. Multisurface temps des fêtes With oNature, we made the Multisurface holiday scent.
