Making homemade slime with borax is an activity that is both fun, educational, and surprisingly scientific. With the right proportions, you get a stretchy, flexible, non-sticky slime—perfect for a creative activity with kids… or for curious adults.
Ingredients
250 ml (1 cup) white liquid glue
250 ml (1 cup) warm water
1 teaspoon of borax
250 ml (1 cup) hot water
Food coloring (optional)
Preparation Steps
Dissolve the borax in the hot water, stirring until fully dissolved. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix the white glue with the warm water. Add food coloring if desired.
Gradually pour in the borax solution, stirring gently. The slime will begin to form almost immediately.
Continue adding the solution until you achieve a firm yet flexible texture.
Knead the slime for 1–2 minutes to make it smooth and stretchy.
If you’d like, I can also add a short safety note to include with the recipe.

Mittens, gloves, and winter clothing go through a lot: salt, mud, sweat, dirty snow… Over time, they become dull, greyish, and hard to clean.
It’s possible to give them a true refresh, without harsh products, thanks to a simple and effective routine by PURE. The PURE Stripping powder is an excellent soaking agent. Ultra-effective, it helps to:
Naturally whiten whites
Revitalize dull colors
Lift deeply embedded dirt
Refresh thick fabrics like mittens and snowsuits
To demonstrate the product’s effectiveness, nothing beats Olympic mittens worn for over 15 years.
Spray a few drops of PURE stain remover directly on the toughest stains (cuffs, palms, thumbs).
Add PURE scrubbing powder to the load of items to be cleaned. For maximum effectiveness, let them soak for at least 24 hours.(Special shout-out to old washing machines: they still work wonders 👌)
Then run a regular wash cycle according to the fabric’s care instructions.
Whenever possible, dry outdoors. The sun is a powerful natural bleaching agent that helps finish the job, especially on whites.
